Fine Art Paper

The Giclée Studio uses an Italian, textured, cold pressed, cotton rag paper. Acid free, it is archival. It accepts the ink beautifully and has superb bright and subtle colours. Beautiful for reproducing pastels and watercolours and provides an old fashioned look to portraits. Requires displaying behind glass.

There is a size limitation of 600 mm, on the shortest side, for this medium. Larger sizes can be considered, depending on numbers ordered. Give us a ring to discuss.

Habotai Silk

A beautiful material suitable for many purposes, such as soft furnishings, silk screens and hangings, or clothing. Has a beautiful subtle lustre, superb for floral and other “nature” subjects.

The silk can be stretched, if desired, in the same way as canvas.

The Epson K3 Ultra Chrome inks are waterproof, so the silk may be gently hand washed in cold water (although I wouldn’t do it too often).

Belgian Linen

Like silk, a beautiful material suitable for many purposes, such as your own custom tea towels. The finish provides brilliant colours with the texture that only Belgian linen has.

Belgian linen may also be stretched, as with canvas.

Linen prints may be cold machine washed, on gentle. How much fading occurs depends upon your detergent, the type of machine, the length of the cycle you choose, etc. but the ink is waterproof.

Matte Photo Paper

This is an extremely economical way to get a large print. The paper is archival, and extraordinarily smooth. It is a beautiful paper with the tone and brightness necessary for photo printing in either colour or monochrome.

Photo paper should be displayed behind glass.

There is a size limitation of 1000 mm (1 metre), on the shortest side for this medium.

Glossy Photo Paper

If you want a photo print that looks like a chemical print, then this is the way to go. It’s especially good for sepia and black and white where an old fashioned look is the desired effect.

The paper is also archival. It really does print beautifully and our Epson printer is capable of superbly fine detail.

Glossy paper requires a different ink set than matte media. The Giclée Studio keeps a dedicated Epson Stylus Pro 4800 loaded with the photo ink set. This saves waste, and therefore money, a saving passed on to our clients.

There is a size limitation of 420 mm, on the shortest side, for this medium.

PVC Banner/Self-adhesive Vinyl

These media provide exceptional flexibility in how you present your photos. Both are suitable for outdoor use.

The PVC is scrim reinforced and is delivered hemmed and with eyelets so it may be hung. Suitable for outdoor art, sight screens, hanging against a wall whilst plants grow, etc. A very stylish and unusual decorator item.

There is a size limit of 1000 mm, on the shortest side, for this medium.

The self-adhesive vinyl is a sticker. It can be used anywhere a sticker can be used, such as on the side of vehicles, windows, mounted on metal, etc.

There is a size limit of 900 mm, on the shortest side, for this medium.
