The Giclee Studio is committed to protecting the privacy of visitors to our website's, and the privacy of our clients. Following an external link to our site:
If you followed a link to our site, an email notification may be sent to us showing who the referring site was. No personally identifiable information is gained from the notification. This happens through a script written 100% by Jaydean. The script is triggered on the server when the footer of any of our pages are loaded. If our site detects a referral, a notice will be displayed in our footer.
Server Logs:
Several details about your visit are recorded in system logs. These system logs provide 'statistical' data about visitors to our site. System logs do not record your personal details, nor are they able to access any personal information on your computer.
Your Personal Information: By simply visiting our site, your personal information is neither accessible or recorded. We do not have access to your name, age, sex, postal or email address, documents or files on your computer or any other information that is not already listed below. Please read the section labeled 'Webforms' and 'Emailing' for times where your personal information may be provided to us.
The date and time you visited our site: This allows us to see when our website is being used, and what effect if any other marketing such as newspapers, online advertising etc may have on increasing visits to our site. This marketing data allows us to see the effects of our marketing strategies, and enables us to concentrate higher on those that cause greater impact.
The IP Address assigned to your computer at the time of the visit: An IP Address is assigned to your internet connection from your internet provider. As IP Address's are assigned to internet providers, domains and website's, this allows us to see what country, state and/or city our visitors are from (but does not give us your address details). This can assist in our marketing, seeing where our advertising works.
The Referring Site: If you used a search engine to find our site, the search term(s) used will be recorded. If you clicked on a link from another site, then we will record which site sent you to us. These allow us to see what key words for searches work for our site, and importantly highlights keywords that may not be effective enough in the design of our site. Where you followed a link, we are able to see what external sites best suit our site when submitting reciprocal or free links.
Your Computers Software & Basic Configuration Information: We record the browser you used to view our site, your operating system and your current screen resolution. This information assists us in the design and modification stages of our site. By knowing the most popular browsers and screen resolutions, we can ensure our site is designed with these characteristics in mind.
Failed Requests: If a request made to our site is unable to be delivered, the address of the information you sought is recorded in our logs. These provide a 'failed request' report that enables us to identify broken or out-dated links and fix any unforeseen problems that may otherwise go un-reported.
The pages you view on our site: An important part of understanding the effectiveness of our site, is to record what pages are being viewed, and the order in which visitors navigate through our site. We look at what page was first requested, known as the 'Entry Page', how long you spend viewing each page, and which page you last viewed before leaving our site, also known as the 'Exit Page'.
Cookies The Giclee Studio uses additional 'statistical' information derived from 'StatCounter.Com'. One of the important features of 'StatCounter.Com' over our server logs, is that it provides information on the number of 'returning visitors', that is, people who view our site and at a later stage return to the site again. This allows us to determine the make up of returning visitors to new visitors that browse the sites.
Third Parties Access to Statistical Information Information gained by visiting our site is not shared, sold or made publicly available to third parties. The information is used for the research and development of our sites and the sites of our clients. Our Clients may only view the 'statistical' information of visitors to their own domains.
